With April being Easter – we stuck to the rabbits…Sponge rabbits that is – After dinner, the meeting got started with Randy Vander Wal, IBM Territorial Vice -Pres. for MI, discussing, the plans and expectations for Michigan Magic Day, April 30th. Everyone agreed it sounds good and only $25.00 for a whole day and evening of Magical Fun will be a bargain to boot. Randy also showed us the “Jokers Wild” and the “4 of Hearts” tricks using a rider back deck cf cards. Ken Salzman assisted him. John Lindemann presented his version of “Rabbit from a Hat” calling it a “Hat Hair”, then did a Card Prediction, twice, from a deck of cards. Ken shuffled John’s deck and picked “any 4 cards” which turned out to be the four 10’s – one of each suit. Krag Ryal showed three ways to use Sponge Bunnies, then a fascinating way to multiply sponge balls, and ended up with a Large Sponge Rabbit. The evening melted into individual tutor sessions, each presenter teaching other members the slight of hand necessary to do their tricks. Everyone interested in learning the fun of doing magic surprises are invited to join us.
